I looked and poked around. Am I missing the button for this? If not, this is an issue I spent quite a bit of time looking for as it is completely disorientating to not have page numbers and, I hate to say, leans on the not buying the program. I know a few others don't have this either. I don't want to have to transfer to word just to get page numbers (and text positions) and just use this program for its plotting and organizing. -

Dennis FlemingPage numbers would be very helpful. Designations in the book scenes and plot box summaries would be terrific. For example, something like pgs. 26-33 in the headings. It's helpful to me to know how many pages a particular scene takes up. I can judge the overall rhythm and pacing. I use ProWriteAid to tell me how paragraph length alternates and which ones might be too long in comparison to others.

JoanI like to print off pages and edit on paper. Having page numbers in a header makes it easier to find the section I want to edit when I go back to the computer. Also, a go-to for pages, instead of having to scroll through the chapters. Thanks!

Jamie HunterWhen you print a hard copy to line edit and need to add the changes to dabble, it takes FOREVER because there are no page numbers and you basically have to read the entire thing over again to find the line that needs correcting. It’s to the point where I’m considering not using dabble anymore

CoralHaving found a piece of text where that I want to insert it earlier instead of where it is now, am finding it very difficult to mark the place I want to put it without a page reference. I will try putting some giant text or something similar for now, so I recognize it when scrolling past and can then insert the second piece

RafiqahPage numbers would be incredibly useful. I love to use Dabble as my primary workspace, but I am required to export to Word to see how many pages a particular scene or chapter takes up. It would be great to have page numbers directly in Dabble as I work on drafts.

SaraShocked that this wasn't included automatically given that the program is designed for novelists. Even more troubling that this request is almost 3 years old and still "Under Consideration". It's a basic feature that is at least an option in every other writing program I've seen. Once I finish my rough draft, dabble is basically useless for the way that I edit without page numbers, which sucks because there's so much about it that I love.

Danielapage numbers PLEASE. I'm completely shocked that this is still "under consideration". Every single writing program has this! I hate having to export to word to get page numbers and do hard copy line edits. This can't be that hard of a fix, y'all! Please add it.

EmilyI love this app, but not being able to see page numbers is genuinely driving me crazy. It is making it so much harder to plan out the timing of scenes and the format of my book. Please, please, please make it so that page numbers are visible on each page or at the bottom next to where it tells you how many pages are in each chapter.

CarolI'm with everyone else on the request for page numbers. I have almost completed my book and it is in 4 ( hopefully equal) parts. Knowing the amount of pages and size of the chapters would be really helpful. Thanks!

Richard ArbibPage counts change with the spacing and margins one uses, but it's important have a page count so we can quickly find parts of the novel as we are writing. I print out chapters to give to members of my writers group. A word count is fine and is also in MS Word, but it is not a sufficient substitute for manuscript pages. Your software has many great features other softwares don’t. It is strange that you would leave out page numbers.
If you add features to Dabble, next should be page numbers. Imagine reading a book with no page numbers and no bookmark and only chapter headings to find your place! Now imagine you are the author with the same problem while writing.
As we are writing, page numbers are necessary when going back and forth in different sections of the novel. If I didn’t have the page numbers in MS Word when writing my two novels, it would have wasted so much time for me to constantly be searching all over the novels to reread parts of it. Please consider adding page numbers. -

RebeccaWow. I was on the verge of purchasing the lifetime price (trying to get away from ALL of the subscriptions and I am a dedicated user, have had Scrivener for a really, really long time), have been using the free trial, and thought this was a newer app. To see customers requesting something as basic and fundamental as PAGINATION for over four years... Nobody is listening? Nobody? This is sad.
