Family Trees
I would love to be able to add a family tree for each of my characters in my story notes.

This would be very helpful for any book/Project that requires a family tree, as well as potentially being able to add a profile or ages and dates/titles, alive or deceased kind of thing to that would be great also, but I know only so much can be done regarding family tree building -

Grace I.Considering the amount of characters in my fantasy series, this would be helpful. Perhaps this could be part of a Character Database? Right now I find it clunky to set up a different page for each character so that I have all their information to hand.

Carole McCullochA family tree would be great for the Genealogists who use DabbleWriter to write ancestral stories.
It would also be great to have the ability to change the 'name' of the DabbleWriter functions eg Story instead of Book, Ancestor instead of Chapter. -

Brent ReschnyYes, please. I am writing fictional memoirs based on loosely on people I know. Keeping track of family trees is a mess in Dabble.

pattithis would be helpful so that if anyone has as much history as my family does in it that you could do the family tree feature in every chapter to write your family history and how it is in your family tree line

ClaireI would love to see this feature! I'm just starting to build a new world and this would be very beneficial.

Sabrinathis feature almost seems like it's key to include. Especially for those who are writing a fantasy genre, family trees and timelines can be so crazy to keep up with. If there was a feature it could not only help current Dabble users but encourage new users for sure!

KarinaThis would make things so much easier! Putting pictures of the characters on it. Man, it would be so cool.

JonathanNot just family trees, but any kind of character connection. Such as political affiliations and things like that. This would be amazing to keep track of how people relate to each other throughout the story or stories.

JonathanReally, what would be best would be to have a sort of omni-relationship tree or flowchart. A tool that allows us to track family trees, how certain characters relate to others (friends, family, enemies, rivals, etc.), and to even track the relationships of larger organizations and institutions like political relations (which nations are allies, which are enemies, who's at war with who, who trades with who, etc.). This would be a brilliant tool for being able to remember everything in a story with complex relations.

MikaylaI would love this! It would help me when drafting my fantasy series, especially with different romances.

AlleyThis would be amazing for a book series and I would love a section for how others are connected. Examples: Best friend, neighbor, Lord I-Own-The-Land-Face, etc.

EvaThis whole family tree/character connection/omni-relationship tree or flowchart is a great suggestion. It would definitely make it easier to keep track of things for books with complex relations and help to avoid plot holes. I really would love if it were in a web/mind kinda format where if you click on one character in the web, the threads attached to that character become either enhanced/thicker, indicating that the relation/affiliation to said character are direct or strong, or faded/thinner, indicating a weaker, or less direct relation.

I really would love if it were in a web or mind map kinda format (kinda like in scapple) where if you click on one character in the web, the threads attached to that character become either enhanced/thicker, indicating that the relation/affiliation to said character are direct or strong, or faded/thinner, indicating a weaker, or less direct relation. Different thread colours could indicate the kind of connection it is (family, political, friends, allies, romantic, etc), and when you click on a character, you can select the colour thread you're looking for (white for general) to help with the chaotic view this will present. I'm not sure if I've described what I've visualised well enough, or if it's doable. I'd sure be glad if it were.

The timeline feature would be a great addition, too 👌🏾.
I honestly wonder why Dabble hasn't included these suggestions yet. They would help to avoid plot hole -
