Awesome to link to sections within your project so you know where you're referencing/where to follow up.
I would LOVE to have auto-linked words in text docs to note objects with that name. If the word “Fred” is on the current page, the word would get an automatic hyperlink if there was a note in my project titled “Fred”. I could highlight “Fred’s Bar”, hit the link button, and a note would then be created in Story Notes with that title. Development difficulties include handling duplicate note names and making this feature a toggle for those who hate the links. See Mac app Voodoopad for examples.
This would be an excellent feature for linking people to places. So in chapter 15 you don't think character A was in a hot air balloon over the Atlantic when it was character B.
I’d like to be able to easily link between files in the desktop version. In the browser, it’s easy enough to copy the page link and use that, but there’s no easy way to do that in the app.
This is one of those features that Scrivener doesn't have (you have to link manually, and if the document name changes it can break the link because the path is broken).LIVE linking, that updates itself if you make a change to a document/it's title, would be phenomenal! It's in a couple of other writing apps I tried, and it is almost invaluable to the point that I considered them even when they fell short of other major features.A tagging system in general would be wonderful, and one that does not maintain the appearance of "@". I see a lot of programs use "@" to tag elements, and the symbol stays and makes notes and manuscripts looks messy in no time at all. But having an auto-tagging system of all elements (Locations, Characters, Items, etc), would be phenomenal (and the ability to turn auto-tagging off)! It helps web documents together and make things mainstreamed and cohesive. Please add this!
