Sometimes I move something somewhere and it gets instantly lost and I can't find it - sometimes it ends up disappearing altogether, sometimes it ends up somewhere unexpected. Undo/redo would be really helpful!

Dabble's Undo actually works quite well.

The problem is the browser's context menu. If you right-click, you get the built-in browser undo which isn't the same as Dabble's undo and it doesn't work like it should. If you press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) then it will use Dabble's undo and work well. Ctrl+Y (or Cmd+Shift+Z on Mac) will redo. Use the keyboard shortcuts and things will work out much better.

I will keep this feature request open until we add custom Dabble right-click/context menus that use Dabble's undo feature so you don't get messed up with the browser's feature.

I will leave this for a request for a button, but Dabble DOES support undo and redo. It relies on the keyboard shortcuts. On Mac, use Cmd+Z and Cmd+Shift+Z to undo and redo. On Windows, the shortcut is Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y. These are the native shortcuts that those operating systems use and Dabble uses them too.

If you try to use the browser's right-click menu or application menu (Edit -> Undo) it will not work. This is because the browser has a different idea of what undo/redo should do.

I'm not used to using the keyboard to undo-redo, and this was almost a deal-breaker for me until I found your message above. Even so, it's going to be slow going for me to remember those keys. I may have to put a sticker on them or something. An undo/redo button on the screen would be extremely helpful. Maybe you could add one small dropdown on the screen for text editing, include the undo/redo, and whatever else (italicize, etc) - that way you're not using up too much on-screen real-estate.

This needs to be a planned status. Most programs have an undo/redo button. Yes the keyboard shortcuts are a thing, but unless you're someone who prefers them, most people don't know them. There must be an undo/redo button.

The right click undo feature doesn't work for everything and I haven't found an undo for deletions yet. I also can't italicize certain words. Would like these basic features. But maybe I'm missing it...?

You can undo using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Z on Windows or Cmd+Z on Mac. I will consider adding a custom right-click menu as well. The italicizing issue was a temporary bug that has been fixed.

Dabble supports the native keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac). We opted to keep the interface simpler by not having any text-editing buttons always visible, but enough people don't know how to use shortcuts that we may add an undo button. We can also override the browser context menu with our own to use Dabble's undo. Unfortunately, we can't tap into the browser's application menu at the top to handle undo when it is selected there from the edit menu. Limitations with browser-based apps

A button to undo the last action. I've been using the mobile app, which is nice but it keeps deleting things by the paragraph. An undo button would be useful in that situation.

Definitely NEEDED! Like others, I type too fast before I realize, YIKES, I've done something dumb! The keyboard shortcuts can be difficult to work on some machines, especially if you have a touch screen only. Buttons are easy to see, touch, they are like best friends (always there for you) :)

A definite must. While I use the quick keys always, there also needs to be an icon redo. I just lost a part inside a section. I cut it to past into another scene but accidentally did another copy enroute. My moving scene was lost.

Please try and make an undo button. I lost an entire chapter because of a simple copy and paste mistake and now I can't get it back--even with the keyboard commands because they don't work for me.

Why doesn't this button exist yet, two years later???? I was simply backspacing, and suddenly a whole paragraph is lost! Would love that undo redo button. I need to restore something. Now my whole writing day is destroyed as I wait the three hours to get some help just for a critically important paragraph, a paragraph I spent a bunch of days on! This isn't the first time this has happened today. The first time when I was unable to recover what I mistakenly deleted I was somehow able to recover and move over that space. This time it's to no avail.

How is it even possible that you don't have undo/redo button? I was so excited that I've found your software and was seriously thinking about purchasing it, but it's kind of a deal-breaker, to be honest...
We are writers, our process is creative and chaotic! Undo/redo is a must
1. Almost all of your serious competitors have it
2. Dabble is not the cheapest software for sure, so you need to really stand out in a positive way, not a negative one
3. Other than that, your software is a really good tool and this thing is really easy to fix, it's not like rewriting all your programming from scratch if Ctrl+Z isn't working...
4. People are asking for it for two years! If you won't listen to your consumers, it shows they don't matter and it's hurtful to them
5. New consumers would be encouraged to look for other options...
6. Don't you want to have the best product?

A redo and undo feature also seems extremely crucial for a feature. Many of us writers are clumsy or even forget the wording we JUST used. I for one would lose my mind if I couldn't redo in case I ended up hating the new wording I used to replace the previous sentence or couple of words. Sometimes we overthink our current selves only until we realized it was perfect just the way it was. Without the redo button, I feel like a lot of meltdowns could happen.
