Jacob from Dabble AdminIs this to mark it for coming back to later? Or is it for manuscript formatting for the final export?

VioletIt can be used for emphasis, or to indicate a title (for example, book titles are often underlined).

Greg Kenny MergedTo be able to reflect things like thoughts or italics. It stands out easier than actual italics.

SkyeWhen I indicate handwriting I do it in italics, and like when a person writes a note by hand they can't bold and so they underline for emphasis. So when I am writing about a handwritten note I want to be able to do underline and italics. And yes it would output this way for the final version.

Daniel GreeneyAs a screenwriter using Dabble for outlining, underlines are important. We don't use italics in scripts because they can be easily missed by readers, and CAPS indicate a totally different emphasis (such as CHARACTER, or SHOT, etc.)
Looking at other web-based writing apps, it appears underlining is difficult as few have it (although NovelPad currently allows for underlines.) As the first request for this feature was back in 2017, perhaps it would help if you could explain why this is a difficult thing to program? -

AshI too would like to request the ability to underline. At first, I didn't see any point in it, but I've gotten to a part in my story where a character leaves a handwritten note and has (hilariously) underlined what they feel is a crucial part. I can go back in the final editing stage and add it in using Google Docs, but just curious, why is this not already included? Is it difficult to program?
