Different Fonts
I would like to change the fonts that Dabble uses to something else.

When considering fonts, font size and line spacing are equally important. I like to work in Times New Roman, 12pt, 2.0 line spacing. Also, please keep in mind that font display size can be an issue, especially on 4K monitors. -

AmyI personally love using a typewriter font and I've missed it when using Dabble. I don't think we need a plethora of options, but a couple of different ones would be nice.

Chet SandbergI type in Helvetica. I know it's sacrilege, but it's just the font I use. Obviously, exports to Word should let you choose a different font.

SonyaIn one part of my novel, I use fonts to show who is speaking, or I'd like to. Using Dabble, I can't seem to do that. I would like that to be added.

KelseeIt gets boring seeing the same font for every single story I write which is why I keep returning to MS Word. I'd like using this program more if the font wasn't so boring since I only have one option.

GayleAn option for either sans serif or serif font would be AWESOME. And hopefully an easy start to this option.

MNot everyone writes exclusively in English -- a font that supports 'foreign' characters would be great. Right now Polish characters in chapter/page titles look incredibly mismatched...

RebekahComic sans - although some don't like it - is dyslexia-friendly and there is also a suggestion that it helps writers to focus

Jacob from Dabble System"Font Size, Color, Etc." (suggested by Gravity Seeker on 2019-03-07), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion.

RachaelI think that the addition to be able to load Google web fonts would be a welcome addition. It would give you the opportunity to somewhat format your novel before exporting.

RebeccaI know it's ridiculous but I am going to stick with Scrivener purely because I can't get around the single font choice... Since I will be spending so much time on this app looking at font, I want to be able to look at a font I like. As soon as this shifts, I'll give your app a proper chance!

RandyI know that using a sans serif font is easier to read on a monitor and is why all OS fonts are sans serif. But I am so used to typing in Courier from Manuscript format and Script/Screenplay format that I am just not finding my words while writing in sans serif. If we could at least start out with 3 options: The sans serif we already have, a serif font and a monospace font like Courier Prime that would help the majority of people asking for this request. Then more could be added at a later date.

CrystalI like the simplicity of this app, but would love to have the ability to set a chosen font for the Chapter Heading and the Body Text. Perhaps this can be done in the Preferences so the font menu won't be in the way and become a distraction. Please add this feature! Most writers are very attached to certain fonts. I'm very attached to Crimson and Crimson Text, both google fonts btw. :)

D.S.For purposes of maximum workflow, I'd love to see both Courier and Times New Roman fonts available. Most of us will be exporting to Word and having the manuscript as submission ready as possible, even if it's only for the editing stage, is important. An option to format paragraph style, etc. for the same purpose would be great too. Not sure if this needs to be a separate suggestion or works here. These options are parts of the same issue for me. Thanks for considering them. :)

SilthrenI know it may be petty, but not being able to change font and font color is kind of a killer for me. It really helps me set the mood and tone for myself. If it weren't for that I would certainly switch over to Dabble.

EmmaEnthusiastically upvoted! I love typing in Garamond or Merriweather (another writing webapp I use just has a freetext field for dropping names in that it pulls from Google Fonts for alllll the font options), and I'm quite fond of the Comic Sans writing hack that Twitter went mad about recently (putting a MS in comic sans temporarily helps you focus on keeping writing rather than tweaking what's there). Comic Sans is also a *really* great font for dyslexic users.

RandyI accidentally found a way to keep the font Josefin Slab, which is used for the header, in the area where the body text should be. A Copy/Paste trick. It shows up as H6 instead of Body but looks like I am using the Header font for the Body text. I prefer it to the default body text which appears to be Source Sans Pro. Since this is under construction as of this writing, all I need is for the Body font options to include Josefin Slab and any Courier Font EXCEPT Courier New and I will be so happy!

Jacob from Dabble AdminHey Randy! In the story notes section, you can use H1-H6 headers by typing # or ## or ###, etc. and then a space to convert the line into a header 1, 2, 3, etc. This is a hidden feature that we will document. Copy-paste will do it too.

SamI saw a couple comments in favor of adding Comic Sans and I'd like to include myself in requesting it - if it has any true positive impact on productivity, I want to be able to implement it without going back and forth between interfaces.

MattJust a couple serif fonts and maybe one or two sans-serif selections would be great. Thanks!

NatalieI would really like this. I basically use Dabble as my back up for where I store my novel that I'm writing and write the majority of my items in Word so I can use the Parchment font for my titles and chapter headings

Bartholomew AllenI would like to be able to change the font... I am dyslexic and it would help me to have comic sans or open dyslexic. I know these fonts aren't terribly loved but it would help

Liz LeibyI don't mind the font that is there, but having a different font options to denote things like newspaper articles, text messages, etc etc... would be REALLY helpful.

KateCould you please add Google Font support (/ or a selection of the top 100 Google fonts) with maybe a search field for the dropdown to select the font name? They're all free for commercial use so can be exported too.
