Non-Fiction Writing Features
Features to benefit a variety of genres:
1. Citations (Footnotes, endnotes)
2. Markup ability within the Manuscript editor (there is already Markup ability in the planning section, but not the writing section for some reason).
3. An auto-generated Bibliography as sources are added.
4. Images / Charts added to body of text

CedarI had hoped to be able to work on my non-fiction book in dabble (and therefore online). But I would need to be able to have a fully functional text editor - font, indentation, underlining, etc, etc. (And the above stuff would be awesome too.) In lieu of this though, since dabble is great at keeping things simple and mobile, which I need, being able to export and import folders, notecards, & scenes to and from Scrivener would help.

LacyFootnotes are also useful for fiction writers who use foreign language phrases and want to include translations for readers.

ChrisThe citations/auto-generated bibliography, and ability to insert images would all be excellent!

Jessica Scott MergedThere are different types of writing, not just creative ones that follow fictional characters. It would be nice if Dabble could offer non-fiction/academic as well eventually and then what about graphic? woo that would be a doozy!

Kevin HandyI was seriously considering Dabbler as a replacement to Scrivner but it really isn't. This needs to be a tool that can be used for fiction or non-fiction, for screenwriting as well as for fiction. And frankly if you could help authors to create a workflow from the base writing product to a script with storyboard that would be the ideal. No one does this at an affordable price with auto-upgrades. I think your product looks great though.

Deb MergedAll of the tools and emails are focused on fiction books. I believe there are many more people would use this app for non-fiction where characters, scenes, etc., wouldn't distract.

Shari SmithI’m currently writing a nonfiction book, and the one feature missing that I need is footnotes. I would love to see this added!

Lisa M. Russell MergedNon fiction and CNF writers require a little different format than for novels. Consider other kinds of work spaces like for nonfiction, poetry, scripts, podcast scripts, etc.
