After highlighting text, the context menu could also contain a FN button alongside the Bold and Quote buttons. In export, Dabble could allow the user to choose whether to have the citations appear at the ends of chapters or the whole work (like a bibliography). Great for non-fiction writers!

Footnotes and endnotes are also endlessly useful to fiction writers who have long chapters- it lets you put a note directly where you need it without taking up space. Or, you can go the Bartimaeus Trilogy route and just use footnotes in the story itself.

Footnotes and endnotes are vital but please include an option on exporting to include footnotes or not!

I really need FOOTNOTES for the way I build the story. So, the ability to create footnotes and endnotes would be VERY important.

Definitely. I would love to be able to have a footnote text show up on the same page as the footnote reference mark. Not sure Dabble can support that, but would be amazing.

Not sure if this is still actively under consideration, but I second ALL OF THIS. I love using Dabble for my fiction novels, would love to use it for my non-fiction novels too! Clean export of the footnotes is vital.
