Text to Speech
I sometimes have to hear someone else read a scene for me to notice things that need to be changed, added, and taken away. By having this feature, I don't have to find someone else to read it to me.

Chet SandbergI use this in my editing process. On a Mac, I can do it on the web version of Dabble, but it's fiddly and doesn't easily let me start or stop at a particular place. What we really need is a TtS that highlights each word as it's read so as to easily find homonym errors or missing words our brains THINK are there.

KeiraBig plus to this. I use Word's text-to-speech feature all the time to help me verify that the text sounds right.

Nancy Rdz LL MergedTo allow us to voice record our stories in audio so readers can have the option to listen and not read. With our own voices if we choose and with AI option as well for those not comfortable with their own voice. Not all places have their own voice audio option it's always AI and it doesn't give the same feel of the story the way it should be, (like a horror story) with a robot voice. This will attract more people to your writing site.

Joe Johnson MergedAdd a feature that reads your work aloud so you can hear how it flows. It also helps with proofreading, as sometimes the mind sees what it wants and overlooks issues.

Victor TempestIs there being in progress made on this suggestion, because I think that would be dope. Also, if it could do just a like a totally audio version of your manuscript that would be nice. I wouldn't even care if it was alexa, just to be able to hear it would help with editing and so forth.

Tosha Y MillerThis is a big one for me. I need to be able to hear my words for them to work for me. OR I'll spend way too long recorrecting them. If I can hear the flow, I move quickly through my editing process. Please add a read-out-loud feature!

AlmikazPlease please add text to speech. I have done some of my best writing by hearing what I have written. It's like having an assistant read your work back to you. You can easily catch mistakes and correct grammar.

BeccaI use the text to speech feature on a word document when editing to hear the actual content of my work. I hate having to cut and past back and forth between dabble and word, would love having an in app feature for this! It helps me to use the monotone voice of the text to speech reader to hear when I repeat words too often, such a names, pronouns etc, or when I am going on and on and need to tighten up ideas or distill things. Any progress yet for upgrades?

SabrinaThis could be a wonderful feature !! If done correctly, it could end up putting Dabble at a very desirable stance for writers. I don't know many apps that could read a paragraph to me without sounding like a robot and out of context.
