Mind mapping
I would like to arrange my characters or plot points in a mind map like Scapple does.

SaabIf there was linking between things, then I think it would add to this feature. Especially if the map is generated from the links made between things. After it's generated, then people could add or remove links.
For writing it helps to see all the connections and the big picture. -

Tori J.I would love a blank mind map template as well, so I can plot more random things like how my magic works, etc.

MiriI'm assuming mind-mapping is like a semantic / idea web and I'd love this. Being able to laterally and vertically connect the boxes in the grids/plotlines (with the connection lines remaining even if you move stuff around) could work as well.

azmind mapping is so important to me with my characterization and brainstorming. it's important to me for there to be this feature in dabble since i like to have all of my writing things in one place for organization.
definitely gotta agree with what saab said, too. -

MarkBeing able to map out flows of cause and effect rather than just show the time sequence and link from plot to scenes in the grid would be very powerful. You could plan out how different parts of the story come together to create the conditions necessary for the most explosive or exciting scenes. It would also provide a way to verify you had explained everything and not left any plot lines hanging as you could follow the cause effect arrows.

Mark BI'm currently using MiMind on Android for mind mapping, but to have something similar baked-in to Dabble would be massive

Raven MergedA blank canvas to put pictures and text. This is a visual reference to look back on for inspiration, ideas, to building upon a story. I normally have to put my pictures in Microsoft OneNote. I love the zoom in and out function, while I copy paste pictures to this blank canvas that I've scavenged Pinterest for, but it would be awesome to have something similar in Dabble so its all in one place.

JosephI would say have mind mapping, a timeline, or both. I would rather take from my mind map program and paste a picture in here in some file. Or allow a link to some mind map program.

CCapricoThis would be useful for exploring ideas. As an add-on, it would be nice to draw links between characters and easily define their relationship, although this could be a different feature altogether.

LauraThis would be awesome. The little known Wavemaker novel writing app includes this feature if you want to see how they implemented it.

burlingkGiven the nature of mind mapping, this could also function somewhat for the family tree type option another user suggested. Especially if you are dealing with more complicated situations.

DreeWould love mind mapping, I use the app mindly and being able to link my mindly app with this account would be amazing. I love mind mapping because it works well with my adhd and how need to have loose structure for outlining & or story boarding.
