AJ HunterI would love to be able to just import straight up text files (specifically I'm formatting in markdown and want to retain that formatting) into a given project or book. I love Dabble and want to import several books into it so I can continue the editing process

TZ KrasnerAt present, I've a fellow author who is proofreading one of my concepts. I'm sharing it via word online, and implementing his changes means manual alteration. Importing would speed things up considerably.

ShaunnaI'm over 50,000 words into a manuscript in Scrivener so manually copying it all to Dabble, would be a minefield with chapters, scenes etc. An import option would have me converting to Dabble 100%.

TracyI really, really, really want an import feature. I write in Dabble, edit in ProWritingAid. I use the web app of PWA bc it's faster than the desktop. To edit I have to cut and paste into PWA from Dabble. I can export my file, but c/p it's fine. BUT I had to go chapter by chapter and c/p from PWA into Dabble. It'd be nice to just import at least chapter by chapter. I just want everything!

Mary WarnerI'd be interested in an import from other Dabble Projects feature. For instance, when I started with Dabble, I put everything into a single bucket, and now I am interested in splitting those items out into reasonable projects. So being able to either import from an exported word or text document, or even have a file transfer process would be cool.

Moses Serhenm mpoyiDabble is powerful, but it can become all class and worth keeping if it can have import features from Scrivener, Microsoft word, or text. Please, people, do something.

Kay CastilloIf I saved Scrivener to rft or doc, an import would be helpful. I'm using a trial version, and the fact that this feature is missing is kind of a deal breaker.

FeranThis could also function as a workaround for versioning/making copies of projects in Dabble. Just export and then import as a new project.

Barberella(dutchessbarbie) MergedBeing able to upload work done on another site so an editable copy is in Dabble so a person doesn't have to rewrite everything in a novel that might has been done during a sprint on a Word Doc or ODT or even Google Doc. Like you are doing NaNoWriMo and need to backup work done maybe on Writing.com it be so cool to back up work by uploading a copy here on Dabble so edits could be done on here without having to rewrite it all again Jacob.

MarieI have been writing a book for almost a year now and just like 5 minutes ago found this site but is my only option to copy and past my entire 3-4 chapters in to here ( I know it’s not much but I am also in high school so it is on the back burner till I am less busy though I do still write.) plus rewrite all my notes that are on paper. Also word is my doc editor of chose.

BrianneTI have already done a lot of work on Google docs including a project that was midway finished when I discovered dabble, would be nice to pick up where I left off with an import feature instead of trying to combine the two or starting from scratch in the middle

Jeffrey ForloinesHonestly, this should be a high priority, in my opinion. If you had this option, and formatting, there would be no reason for programs like "Atticus" to even exist. The problem is, I sent my manuscript to a Copy Editor in Word, get it back, and I can NOT bring it back into Dabble. I love Dabble, I want to use Dabble, but after I send away the manuscript, I don't get to use it anymore.

Marilyn AlmWould like to be able to import FROM Google Docs as well as EXPORT TO Docs. Dabble does not YET have the ability to show changes made by joint authors (it will show additions, but not deletions)). My co-author and I work in Docs since we live 1200 miles apart. NOT having to copy back and forth would be immensely helpful.
