Thesaurus
in the middle of writing, I need another word, and I think having a list of suggested words would help the flow of writing.

Courtney WOne of my hesitations of not using Microsoft Word is losing the "similar words" option, which is easily accessible with a right click. Accessing dictionary/thesaurus with a single click within this program would be a selling point for me

Sometimes I use words where I'm not sure if I've used the word correctly, or maybe I want a word that I think would fit better. It would be nice to be able to highlight that word to get a common definition for it or some synonym suggestions.

Chet SandbergEspecially if you can integrate powerthesaurus. Weirdly, the one time I feel the "app" shell disadvantages me is when I need a quick synonym and have to leave the Dabble program and go to my browser (which already has eleventy-billion tabs, half of which are powerthesaurus tabs from previous synonym searches.

TIm Hoelscher MergedI actually just started using the evaluation version of Dabble, and wrote a "first look" review; the lack of a dictionary is one of my "wish it had" features. Would love to see the context menu on highlight have a "define" or "look up" option. Here's my full review comment:
No built-in dictionary. I would often look up words in Google Docs when I was researching or—just being honest here—if I wanted to use a word but wasn't sure if it was the right choice. The Dabble editor doesn't allow me to highlight a word and right-click to define the way Google Docs does. Not a big deal, I can just use a browser plug-in or go to a new tab, but a little bit of a drawback. -

Scott Marmorstein MergedI'm not sure how hard this would be to do, but if I could double click on a word to view its definition and see synonyms below it, that would be amazing. Sometimes I know words subconsciously and then second guess myself, wanting to know for real if I'm using the right word for the right sentence.

SabrinaI cannot tell how frustrating it can be as a writer to have to constantly go back and forth between my manuscript and the thesaurus. If there was a feature that helped me stay on my manuscript while aiding me In something that could change the colors on the page with just one word; I would be thrilled. It would save me from losing myself on the internet before I realize I fell too far down the rabbit hole.

LisaI would love to see this added. I'm hesitant to make the switch to Dabble from Scrivener and Word without the basic features of a dictionary and thesaurus (at least a suggestion of similar words) because in not having it, I'm now realizing how often I use these tools while drafting and editing. Thanks for considering this addition!
Editing to add: I just saw a thesaurus search in the "word tools" on the right sidebar. Awesome! My modified request would be being able to highlight a word and right-click to quickly have a dictionary and thesaurus option to streamline the process. Thanks!
