See chapter divisions in the plot grid
I tend to put blank scenes into all my chapters at once, in the quantities I expect to want for pacing, and then go in and fill in the scenes I know. Then I fill in the blanks between. This is made very difficult by not being able to see what chapter the blank scenes belong to, when they're all named "Untitled Scene".

CedarI do the same thing. There's a workaround, but it's problematic - I add a column for chapters and make a plot card for each chapter. Of course, that means if I change the chapters or move the scenes around, I have to manually make sure the chapters still match the scenes each time I do. Easier if Acts and Chapters (and even Manuscripts) showed in the plot grid. (Overarching series plot anyone?)
(The plot grid is AWESOME though. Not even Scrivener has this. It's brilliant.)
