Colour Code Chapters/Scenes/Parts
Hi Jacob,
I'm currently using emojis to indicate the 'status' of a scene (eg edited, with betas, revision needed) but I really find myself missing the way I could colour-code scenes in Scrivener for an easy at-a-glance view of status. (Not my image, but for reference, this is what my Scrivener colour-coding looks like -- http://www.simplyscrivener.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Screenshot-2017-11-25-11.17.09.png -- I like the coloured icons and traffic lights, but I know a lot of users prefer to colour the entire title text.)
I appreciate that the sleek design of Dabble wouldn't work with bright coloured titles, but perhaps small 'traffic light' circle icons would work, or being able to set custom colours for the chapter book icon/scene memo icon?

Jacob from Dabble AdminWhat about labels or emojis like you are using that are easier to add/remove?

kimcan't speak for emma but that sounds reasonable to me -- the goal is to get a quick visual read on the status of each scene/chapter/plot point. although color-coding the icons/emojis might helpful

RodneyColor coding is an excellent idea, assuming it's flexible. I know is Scrivener I would color code scenes by POV so I could easily identify them looking at the tree. But there should also be a simple way to identify scenes I've finished the first draft of, haven't started, finished editing and in-progress. There are probably others.

Katy KingstonFwiw, I would do the same thing Rodney did -- color code by POV. It helped get me a quick visual read on POV balance.

Chloe Asher MergedI would like the ability to color the icons next to chapters, scenes, notes, etc. It would especially help with notes for characters so it is easier to find what you're looking for.

David GilmanI colour code my characters in the (chapter or text) tree so at a glance I can see their frequency in a story. It's an enormous help and a very quick visual aid to get a sense of where there are gaps in the narrative for a particular character. (Not currently using Dabble but will probably write my next novel using it as an experiment.) But - I do like to colour code and use Dropbox, so as yet undecided.
