Timer for Writing Sessions
Having the ability to time yourself for sections of writing and keep track of how much you've written. This is both motivational and extremely useful for getting out of your editor brain.

Word sprints make me so much more productive. A timer would be an extremely useful feature for me; especially if it totals your word count for the sprint and the project, shows hours/mins until project completion, keeps track of the number of sprints that you've done for the day, figures out average words per hour and day, and shows your progress toward daily goal. That would be soooo amazing!
This would be great. Especially for us who are used to word wars in NaNo. It would be nice to have a way to keep track of what I wrote in a specific time period without having to do math!
This is a different measure of productivity that I strongly support!
I find this useful while editing, so that I keep track on how much time I invested, even if I have a negative word count at the end of the session ... it tells me that I have progressed anyway!
I love word sprints. But when I'm in a program and start writing, sometimes I forget to reset the clock or I will keep writing for a few more seconds to finish my thought.
It would be great if there were a popup with your word count for the session (and if there was an option to count all written words or just the difference between your starting and ending word counts), and then it would record your session stats (maybe even how long you actually wrote), and asked if you would like to go again
Would be a very Useful feature!
YES! I love writing sprints! Especially when I'm on break at my job. It would be easier to have a timer set up on the website instead of having to do one on a separate device. Just more convenient. What a great idea!
I would loooooooooove this. I am MUCH more productive when using a timer or WriteOrDie...but that involves a separate piece of software to write, so having a built-in timer for sprints right here in Dabble would be AH-MAZING.
This would be a great feature to have baked into my writing program. I find sprints amazingly useful, not just for getting the words out faster, but I also second the comment about keeping track of time spent on tasks like editing is a great way to feel like you're making progress, even if you're not adding words. Right now, I need to use timers on my phone and a spreadsheet to keep track of sprints. Being able to do it right in Dabble would be amazing!
I find myself much more productive when I am doing timed sprints. This would be a great productivity aid.
I would love this feature to be added, if possible.
Yes please! my timeline jumps quite a bit between characters, and to be able to keep track of that in here and refer when needed would be a huge time saver for me.
I do my writing sessions in time chunks instead of word count. This works best for my schedule. It would be great to have a timer remind me when it is time/time is up. Or, tell me how much time I spent writing this week/month, etc.
It would be very helpful to have a word count for each Chapter!
You could just set a timer on an app. Just a suggestion.
I am someone who struggles with ADHD and have been considering doing writing sprints to help me get past my difficult days where I just can't start typing. So for me, I feel like this would be really helpful. It would also keep me away from any distractions on my phone because while yes, I could use the timer on my phone, if there is any sort of emails or certain notifications that catch my interest, I'll potentially get stuck on whatever that thing is. I think having a timer right in the app itself that I can quickly look at and keep typing, it would make it FAR less distracting and I can keep going.
Writing sprints are SOOO useful! Please add this!
Would love Dabble to be integrated with wordsprints.org.
