A card or note that is either designated or you can choose to have 'pinned'. This card then appears in your right sidebar (underneath the word count bars would be ideal, or otherwise at the top of the plot/scene cards) and acts as a quick reference card. Theoretically, anything could be added to this card, but it would be very useful for remembering things that you have to refer to constantly, like days of the week in a fantasy/scifi verse, character names and eye colours, a university/school schedule, etc. and would minimise the time spent clicking back into the notes section to get this constantly referred to information.

1. Name generator. I keep Scrivener on my machine expressly for this. (And the fact that I am gradually copying and pasting everything in Scrivener into Dabble.) This name generator allows a writer to select names by country / nationality, choose male, female, or either, decide what letter the name will start with. There's a given name and a surname selection. (plus other flourishes, and generate 10-15 names. The particularly cool part of it is that the user can import their OWN name lists as comma-delimited text files, using the format Nation or language, Gender, Name, Meaning. Thus, if someone has a language they have invented, with unique names, they can import those and use the generator.

2. 4. Ability to create a Book which will have short story headings and actual chapters under each story title. Currently, one must use a chapter as the title of the short story, and then use a scene for each chapter, dividing the scene/chapter into actual scenes by some physical indication.
Currently there is the "Book" category, and the "Chapter" category. Create a book and then create chapters under that book.
To accomplish the Short Story organization would, I think, require two new categories. The "Book of Short Stories" which Dabble should position like a regular book within a project. And second, the "short story" category which would be a "book within a book." Chapters would appear under the SS category just as they do under a normal book, and scenes would follow under chapters.

3. Ability to select more than one chapter or scene at a time to copy. Or to check the word count on. Or to export for viewing.

4. DUPLICATE Chapter would be very convenient. If I duplicate it, I have one copy which can be placed in an archive per an earlier suggestion. And I have a copy to edit, rearrange , and mangle, knowing that if what I have in mind doesn't work, I have the original saved copy in the archive to go back to.

If I use one of the available options, either to Google Drive or to Word, the export loses almost all its formatting. Tables, font changes and formatting for headers, all of it is gone.
1. Prefer working with justified text
2. Ability to increase magnification of JUST the working screen. Like I could in Scrivener. And can in Google Docs. Now, to see what I am working on, I must set the font to 16, and then reset it to 12 when exporting.
3. Personally controlled auto-substitute for foreign words or names -- type "BJorn" and get "Björn." NOT an autocorrect! **I** determine what is substituted. Not having this ability makes it hard to work in Dabble.
4. Tables: I use tables for EVERYTHING, from my universe calendar to file comparison -- if my co-author has a version of a scene, and I have a version of a scene, we put hers in one column, mine in the next, and then create a composite version in the third column. Have considered something like the plot grid but I really do not want to have to copy and paste 200 years, month by month, into the plot grid, and in any case, my calendars are NOT my plot -- and there's no way to put a plot grid in my Notes.
5. Substitution so if my co-author changes or adds something, I can see what she's done (and vice-versa., and can accept or reject it. Ditto beta reader.
6. File import: current copy and paste is okay, but my machine does not have enough memory for files more than about 1K -- there are letter drop-outs, sometimes whole word drop-outs, which I then have to go through and find and fix. I am an expert typo-ist. I don't need help from my computer to achieve them!
7. Ability to see who is in a file with me.
8. Internal chat is a GREAT idea. Can those chats be recorded for future reference? (Currently using DIscord.)
9. Ability to right-click on a chapter or scene and move it to an archive where it will be labeled for what book and chapter it came. Scrolling back and forth from where I am working to my "Old Files" Folder down in World Building is a royal pain. In my old program, I could right click, select the folder I wanted it to go to, and done!

I am dyslexic, so many times when I type a word a few letters are out of order. Usually 2-3. For some reason, spellcheck in Dabble can almost never suggest the word I was actually going for, even when it's VERY close. But it will give me 4-5 words that aren't even remotely close. So I have to manually fix it anyway. It also misses a LOT of typos and grammar that I then have to double check with grammarly in another program to catch. This happens constantly. I can only assume it's because the spellcheck is through ProWritingAid's integration, which corrects based on AI-learning, and I have no idea how long it will take to actually learn proper corrections or catch grammar issues. Spell Check was so much more efficient in the days before AI because it was based on a locally installed dictionary. Local-based spellcheck is just far more efficient/faster than an integration, and far more robust than AI learning. We should also have the option to be totally AI-free, including not using PWA.

Right now, Dabble on formats to left-justified. It should be able to format the way an actual book is: fully justified with hyphenation. On export, we should also be able to format for page size and book type with gutters and margins. At least for standard pocket books (6"x9") and hard covers (8.5" x 11").

Having to use multiple software to write and then format for printing seems nuts. One package should be able to do it all...and so far, of the writng software available, I do like Dabble the best.

We REALLY need to be looking into getting a desktop app ready for PCs abd Macs to move into an offline version of Dabble; apparently there'sa Chromebook app, so it seems bizarre that we can't do the same for Windows and Mac. An active subscription can act as a license key if needs must, or as long as your login details are tied to an active subscription or whatever will make this work. This would tie-in VERY nicely-neatly with a potential, "local file saving" feature. A desktop app doesn't even need to be feature complete either - I'd realistically be happy enough with access to just a writing pad and have all my world-building tabs be stuck on the web app.
